October 31th, Wednesday (Part II)

We climbed up the steep path and the some 360 steps which led to the village and were received by the village´s teacher as well as the village headman. We had tea and then accompanied the village headman on a walk through the village. Today, a volleyball game took place between a team of Mizoram girls against Myanmar girls that was cheered on by all the villagers.

We also bought some firewood and then went for the search of a nice camp site for our last night on the river. Andy cooked us a delicious Thai Red Curry with potatoes and pumpkin and then we sat around the camp fire for one last time, enjoying and appreciating the moment. It was Misha´s last birthday moments as well and Zorba presented her with a fluorescent candle while Albert presented his excuses for his inability to catch the elusive light-green gecko with orange spots…
